RACES

INLINE FLOORBALL (INVITATIONAL CATEGORY)

Description: 12 teams selected from the schools will be competing in this category. Come down on the 3 - 4 Dec to support your favorite school team!

500M SPRINT

Description: Participants must start off from stationary position and commerce to skate only at the signal from the judge. Participants will be racing a total of 6 rounds against one another in a 50m x 20m arena.

Category:
a) Under 12 years old
b) Under 18 years old
c) Open Category (18 & above)
** Participant can only sign up for one 500m category

KIDS RACE

Description: This race is for any kid that is under the age of 8 years old. All kids that are able to perform basic skating, stopping and turning without the assistance of the parents will be able to compete in this 2 rounds race around the arena.

SPEED SLALOM

Description: Participant must start off from stationary position and commerce to skate only at the signal from the judge and has to skate through 20 cones in the shortest possible time. Cones must be passed through from the alternate side of each successive cone for the entire run.

FREESTYLE SLALOM - TRICK LADDER

Description: Participants will take turn to execute a pre-defined list of moves (about 20) in order of difficulty. Participants must slalom all 8 cones (unless otherwise noted), without knocking any cones over, or without moving any cone more than half it’s diameter .

FREESTYLE SLALOM - SHOWDOWN

Description: Participants are matched up in groups of 2 by means of drawing lots and each participant is given 30 seconds to perform a run across 12 cones spaced at 0.8m. At the end of the 30s, each of the judges (odd number of judges required) picks one of the two competitors in the group (by majority votes) to advance to the next round immediately. This will repeat till a winner is chosen.

FREESTYLE SLIDE

Description: Participant is given a distance of 20 metres to pick up sufficient speed. The next 20 metres distance is for participant to execute a slide attempt that can consist of only one slide trick or many slides done in combination.
